Badia a Coltibuono 2018 Chianti Classico
Gaiole in Chianti. 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo, Colorino, Ciliegiolo. Cask sample.
Just mid crimson. Pretty nose of sour cherry with a hint of nutmeg. Lithe and almost ethereal on the palate. Tangy cherry fruit with sandpapery tannins with a touch of bitterness. Not hugely profound, all is set on elegance. (WS)
