Chateau Jean Faure La Reserve Saint-Emilion Bio 2019

Certified AB and Ecocert organic. 50% Cabernet Franc, 50% Merlot. New product for Ch Jean Faure. Hand-picked grapes. Vinified in concrete and oak vats. Aged for 10 months in 80% concrete and 20% oak barrels.
Young and very raw fruit at the moment. Needed the mushroom and truffle pâté (supplied by Daylesford with the tasting) to anchor it. But the fruit is on track to an attractive destination and the tannins are well-sculpted with no rough edges, no drying out. This will be ready fairly early. (TC)
